MARSHALL, Minn.- The Southwest Minnesota state soccer team was held scoreless today when Minnesota Duluth blanked the Mustangs 1-0 in the final game of the season.
SMSU finishes the season with a record of 1-11-4 (0-9-4 NSIC), while UMD finishes the regular season with a record of 10-5-2 (10-3 NSIC).
The only score of the game came just over halfway through the first half when UMD's Reegan Lloyd found the back of the net on a header at 27 minutes.
The Bulldogs held SMSU to five shots on goal, while Duluth had 23 total shots with 12 on goal.
Maggy Rouse led the Mustangs with two shots which were both on goal.
Kendra Olchefske led with a game-high 11 saves.
Today's match-up marks the final game for five Mustang seniors, Olchefske,
Liz Judkins,
Tatum Borstad,
Jenna Perske and
Kate Voigt.
