MARSHALL, Minn. - Southwest Minnesota State will host the 33rd Annual National Intercollegiate Wheelchair Basketball Tournament this weekend as seven of the nation's top teams will battle for the 2010 national championship in the R/A Facility.
The tournament will begin on Friday morning and run through Saturday afternoon.
Action starts at 9 a.m. on Friday when No. 4 seed Alabama faces No. 5 seed Edinboro (Pa.). At 11 a.m., No. 3 Texas-Arlington will play No. 4 seed Missouri. SMSU, the No. 7 seed, takes on No. 2 seed Wisconsin-Whitewater at 1 p.m.
Semifinal and consolation play will also be held on Friday with games at 3 p.m., 5 p.m. and 7 p.m.
Saturday's games will determine fifth and third place and the 2010 national champion. Action on Saturday begins at 10 a.m. with the fifth-place game, while the third-place contest is at 12 p.m. The national title game is at 2 p.m.
A banquet will also be held on Saturday at 6:30 p.m.
