MARSHALL, Minn. - The National Wheelchair Basketball Association has announced that Southwest Minnesota State's
Jacob Williams has been named to the All-Freshman team for 2009-10. Williams was one of five players from across the country who were selected by head coaches from the intercollegiate division of the NWBA.
A native of Oak Creek, Wis., Williams led SMSU to a fifth-place finish last weekend at the National Intercollegiate Wheelchair Basketball Tournament in Marshall. He averaged a team-best 16.7 points per game and played every minute of SMSU's three games.
SMSU finished the 2009-10 season with an overall record of 4-13.
