GAME NOTES

OPENING TIP
The Southwest Minnesota State University (6-7, 3-6 NSIC) men's basketball team concludes the first half of the 22-game Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference season this weekend with a pair of road games in North and South Dakota.  

On Friday, Jan. 14, SMSU will take on the University of Mary (10-4, 6-4 NSIC) starting at 8 p.m. at the McDowell Activity Center in Bismarck, N.D.  SMSU will then wrap-up the weekend on Saturday, Jan. 15, with a match-up versus Northern State University (6-8, 2-8 NSIC)?at the Barnett Center starting at 8 p.m.

SMSU, which will play seven of its first 11 conference games on the road following this weekend's games, will return home on Friday, Jan. 21, to begin a four-game homestand.
