The Southwest Minnesota State University women's basketball team will return to Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference action after a two-week hiatus for holiday break on Jan. 2-3. SMSU (3-7, 2-4 NSIC) will face the University Minnesota, Crookston (6-3, 3-2 NSIC) on Monday, Jan. 2, at 6 p.m., before taking on Minnesota State University Moorhead (4-5, 1-4 NSIC) on Tuesday, Jan. 3, beginning at 6 p.m. All NCAA Division II teams must have off from any practices and games between Dec. 20-26, per NCAA rules.
