CHAMPAIGN, Ill. - The Southwest Minnesota State wheelchair basketball team finished 1-2 and earned a sixth place finish at the annual National Intercollegiate Wheelchair Basketball Tournament.

The University of Alabama defeated SMSU 69-32 in the opening round, before SMSU picked up a 63-27 victory over Edinboro (Pa.).  The Mustangs closed the tournament with a 71-36 loss to the University of Missouri.

SMSU ends the season with a record of 8-14.
