MARSHALL, Minn. - The Southwest Minnesota State University wheelchair basketball team opens the 2013-14 season this weekend with four games at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater.

SMSU opens play on Friday at 12 p.m. taking on Edinboro (Pa.) before closing the day with an 8 p.m. match-up versus Texas-Arlington.

On Saturday, SMSU will battle Wisconsin-Whitewater at 12 p.m. and the University of Missouri at 4 p.m.

SMSU finished the 2012-13 season with an overall record of 14-15. Interim head coach Derek Klinkner enters his first full season on the SMSU sideline. He took over as head coach in February of last season.
