MARSHALL, MN – The Southwest Minnesota State wheelchair basketball team is in Birmingham, Ala., to compete in the 2013 National Wheelchair Basketball Association Intercollegiate National Championships.
SMSU is 13-13 on the season and hasn't played since Feb. 9-10 versus The Minnesota Rollin' Timberwolves with the Mustangs taking two of three games.
The NWBA National Championships will have seven team competing in the tournament, including The University of Alabama, Edinboro University, The University of Illinois, The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater, Auburn University, The University of Missouri, The University of Texas at Arlington, and Southwest Minnesota State University.
The Mustangs begin Thursday, March 7 at 5 p.m. against the University of Alabama.
