BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - The Southwest Minnesota State University wheelchair basketball had its season come to end on Friday night with a 60-40 loss to the University of Missouri in the fifth place game at the NWBA Championships in Birmingham, Ala.
SMSU ends the season with an overall record of 14-15.
Earlier in the day on Friday, SMSU kept its season alive with a 40-22 victory over Edinboro (Pa.) in the consolation round at the NWBA Championships in Birmingham, Ala.
David Nelson led the Mustangs with 18 points, while
Kyle Timmerman added 12 points.
David Evjen (6) and
Savoy Brown (4) rounded out SMSU's scoring.
