Southwest Minnesota State (6-4-1, 3-4-1 NSIC) recorded nine shots in the match with only four on goal. Bemidji State (
4-6-1, 3-4-1 NSIC) shot six and four on goal.
Miranda Famestad scored first in the second half in the 51st minute to give BSU a 1-0 lead.
Miranda Cadena found the back of the net for her 10th goal of the season from an assist from
Alex Pantze to knot the score up at 1-1. Cadena broke the school goal record with her single goal today.
The match went into double overtime but both team failed to score a goal.
Denae Brooks recorded just three saves in goal for the Mustangs.
Southwest Minnesota State will continue play at the Schwan Regional Event Center tomorrow afternoon hosting Minnesota Crookston. Kick is set to start at 1 p.m.
