MARSHALL, Minn. - The Southwest Minnesota State University wheelchair basketball team opens the 2014-15 season this weekend with a pair of home games on Friday and four additional games on Saturday.

SMSU opens play on Friday with two games versus the Sioux Falls Wheelers at the PE Gym starting at 6 p.m.

SMSU added four more games earlier this week to be played in the Twin Cities versus the Rolling Timberwolves program. SMSU travels to Minneapolis and will take on the Timberwolves White team at 9:30 a.m. before facing the Timberwolves Black at 11 a.m. SMSU will then take on the White in a rematch at 2 p.m., before closing the weekend battling the Black team for a second time at 3:30 p.m.

SMSU finished the 2013-14 season with an overall record of 15-17. Head coach
Derek Klinkner begins his second full season on the SMSU sideline and has 13 players on the roster.
