THIS WEEK - The Southwest Minnesota State University women's basketball team (0-7, 0-3 NSIC) will continue Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference play this weekend as it will travel for a pair of games. The Mustangs will play U-Mary (3-6, 1-2 NSIC) on Friday night at 6 p.m., before facing Minot State (5-3, 0-3 NSIC) on Saturday at 4 p.m.
RADIO - Both games this weekend will be broadcast on 105.1 FM KARL with Ryan Rohlik handling play-by-play and Anthony Rohlik serving as analyst.
ABOUT U-MARY - The Marauders enter this weekend with a 3-6 record, including 1-2 in the NSIC as they opened up league play close, 57-56 win over Minot State. U-Mary dropped a pair of NSIC games last weekend against Northern State and MSU Moorhead. Brittney Dietz powers the Marauders offense with her 18.9 points-per-game average and 50.7 percent from the floor. Hannah Larson is averaging 11 points a game including a 6.2 rebound average. Haley Hibbs is leading U-Mary in assists as she has dished out 27 for a 3 assist average. Rick Neumann is in his third season as head coach at U-Mary with a record of 39-27.
U-MARY SERIES HISTORY - Southwest Minnesota State and U-Mary will meet for the 12th time on Friday night with Mary holding a 8-3 advantage in a series that started back in 2006. ABOUT MINOT STATE - The Beavers enter the weekend with a 5-3 overall record and 0-3 in NSIC. The Beavers will host at the University of Sioux Falls Friday night. MISU opened up NSIC playing U-Mary and suffered its first loss, 57-56. The Beavers dropped the next two conference games to MSU Moorhead and No. 5 Northern State. Katie Hardy leds the Beavers with her 11.1 points per-game average. Savana Kingsbury controls the boards with 7.3 boards per game. Sheila Green is in her 20th season with the Beavers with a record of 334-222.
MISU SERIES HISTORY - Southwest Minnesota State and Minot State will matchup for just the fourth time on Saturday with the series led by the Beavers 2-1 in a series that started back in 2011. The series is knotted up in games played in Minot. MISU has won the last two meetings in the series with SMSU's last victory coming on Nov. 17, 2011. SMSU head coach

Allison Kruger is in her fifth season as head coach at SMSU and has compiled a record of 21-94, including 15-76 in NSIC play. Prior to SMSU, Kruger spent two seasons as assistant coach at NCAA Division I University of South Dakota and four years at Wayne State.
