ARLINGTON, Texas - Southwest Minnesota State concluded its season on Friday night with a 69-31 setback to the Univesity of Illinois in the fifth place game of the NWBT Championships on the campus of UT-Arlington.

SMSU ends the season with an overall record of 15-17.

On Friday morning, SMSU picked up a 48-31 victory over Edinboro (Pa.) University in the consolation round to advance to the fifth place game.
