Box Score BEMIDJI, Minn. — The No. 4 Southwest Minnesota State volleyball team swept Bemidji State Saturday afternoon to push its winning streak to seven. SMSU won by scores of 25-14, 25-6, 25-10.
The Mustangs finished the match hitting a season-high .436, which is also the first time SMSU hit over .425 since hitting .427 against U-Mary last season.
Abbey Thissen finished hitting a career-high .750 in the match as the senior grounded 12 kills and did not record an error.
Taylor Reiss added 11 kills while also setting a career-high hitting percentage with .588.
Megan Larson dished out 37 assists in the sweep.
The Mustang defense was again dominant as they held the Beavers to a -.046 hitting percentage, which is a season best. Reiss led the squad with three total blocks while
Sarah Parker and Larson added a pair of blocks apiece.
Whitney Burmeister led the team with 12 digs.
Southwest Minnesota State will host Sioux Falls on Tuesday at 7 p.m.
