MARSHALL, Minn. — The No. 5 Southwest Minnesota State volleyball team won it's eighth-straight match with a 3-1 win over the University of Sioux Falls on Tuesday night in the PE Gym. SMSU won by scores of 21-25, 25-22, 25-14, 25-21.
Sarah Parker and
Taylor Reiss highlighted the Mustang offense—that finished hitting .322—with 22 kills apiece. Reiss set a new career-high kills while Parker hit a new career-high hitting percentage with a .633 mark.
Abbey Thissen added 10 kills in the win, while
Claire Sames contributed five kills and improved her season-high hitting percentage as she finished hitting .357.
Megan Larson had an exceptional night as the sophomore dished out a career-high 60 assists while tallying four digs and three kills in the win.
The Mustang defense held Sioux Falls to a .266 hitting percentage while putting up seven team blocks. Reiss led SMSU with five blocks—three assists; two solo—while Parker, Larson and Thissen all added two apiece. Both

Kenzie Beekman racked up double-digit digs as they tallied 16 and 11 digs, respectfully.
Southwest Minnesota State improves to 17-3 overall and 10-2 in the NSIC as they welcome MSU Moorhead on Friday night before facing No. 2 Northern State on Saturday.
