MARSHALL, Minn. - The Southwest Minnesota State wheelchair basketball team opened the season today versus Madonna/UNO with a split on Saturday at the R/A Facility.
UNO/Madonna won the first game 68-58, but SMSU answered back with a big 67-33 victory in game two.
In the opener,
Joel Adams and
David Evjen each scored 14 points to pace the Mustangs, while Eric Phllips and
Raymone Brown added 11 each.
In game two, Evjen and
Walter Johnson both had big games with 21 points each.
SMSU continues home action this Friday and Saturday with four games versus Missouri (twice), Wisconsin-Whitewater and Illinois.
