Box Score MARSHALL, Minn. — The Southwest Minnesota State soccer team snapped a three-game skid as it found the win column again after it shutout St. Cloud State Saturday afternoon at the Schwan REC. The win is the six-straight for the Mustangs over the Huskies.
A trio of Mustangs scored in the win as
Kendahl Fisher started it in the 14th minute after she popped the ball over the Husky goalkeeper.
Emily Huddleston assisted on the play.
Kristy Leopold started in the net and tallied a save in the first 45 minutes before being relieved by
Brienna Dehkes at the break.
Miranda Cadena joined in the scoring off the foot of
Megan Kilroy to give the Mustangs a 2-0 lead. Kilroy was not done, as she added an insurance goal in the 73rd minute to close off the scoring and to give SMSU a 3-0 lead.
Dehkes finished in the net and recorded a pair of saves and kept the shutout. Leopold recorded the win in the goal and moves to 3-3-1 on the season.
Southwest Minnesota State will stay at the Schwan REC and face Minnesota Duluth tomorrow at 1 p.m.
