MARSHALL, Minn. – The Southwest Minnesota State University wheelchair basketball team completed a solid two days last weekend earning four victories at the SMSU tournament held at the PE Gym.
SMSU opened the two-day tournament with a 48-26 victory over the Sioux Falls Wheelers on Saturday morning.
Raymone Brown led the Mustangs with 16 points.
SMSU then defeated Madonna (Neb.) via forfeit in its second game with
David Evjen scored 18 points, while
David Nelson chipped in with 10 points.
The Mustangs closed the day with a 60-46 setback to the Rolling Timberwolves with
Dominic Saiz leading the charge with 16 points, while Brown added 10.
On Sunday, SMSU once again earned a forfeit victory over Madonna with Brown scoring a team-high 18 points, with Nelson adding 14 and Evjen scoring 12.
SMSU closed the tournament with a 66-34 win over Sioux Falls as Evjen poured in 20 points with Nelson and Brown each scoring 14 points apiece.

SMSU will conclude the regular season this weekend with four games at the University of Illinois Tournament.
