MARSHALL, Minn. - South Dakota State University scored in all five innings to earn a 10-0 win in game one and followed it with a 2-0 victory in game two for a sweep over Southwest Minnesota State in a non-conference doubleheader at Mustang Field on Wednesday.
SMSU (14-14, 3-3 NSIC) and SDSU (10-14, 1-2 Summit) played for the first time since 2006 in Marshall.
The Division I Jackrabbits took advantage of four SMSU errors and collected 10 hits to the Mustangs five in the first game.
Alex O'Connor (10-7) started for SMSU and suffered the loss, allowing seven runs (three earned) on six hits with two walks and one strikeout.

Megan Bunting each finished 1 for 2 from the plate in the opener.
In the second game, the Jackrabbits scored a pair of runs in the second inning that would go on to earn them the victory.
Madisson Chadwick (2-5) started the second game in the circle for the Mustangs and picked up her fifth loss of the season, allowing two runs on eight hits, while recording a walk and a strikeout.
Katelyn Kalkman and Neely were the lone Mustangs to record a hit.
Southwest Minnesota State will head on its first road trip North this weekend playing U-Mary on Friday with a 1 p.m., start before facing Minot State on Saturday with the first pitch at 12 p.m.
