Box Score MARSHALL, Minn. — The No. 3 Southwest Minnesota State volleyball team suffered a 3-1 conference loss to No. 8 Concordia-St. Paul by scores of 14-25, 25-18, 26-24, 25-19.
Four Mustangs reached double-digit kills as
Abbey Thissen led the squad with 18 while also hitting .375.
Sarah Parker also had an effective game as she dropped in 10 kills while hitting .421.
Taylor Reiss and
Eisha Oden added 11 and 10 kills, respectfully.
Megan Larson dished out 49 assists in the match.
SMSU's defense put up five total team blocks as Larson led the charge with three block assists and a solo block.
Whitney Burmeister racked up 11 digs while
Kaylee Burmeister tallied 10.
CSP finished hitting .317—second highest this season—while keeping SMSU hitting .289 and also put up nine team blocks.
Southwest Minnesota State (9-3, 2-2 NSIC) will host Minnesota State tomorrow at 3 p.m. in the PE Gym.
