TOPEKA, Kan. — The Southwest Minnesota State women's soccer team earned a 0-0 tie with Washburn University Sunday afternoon at Yager Stadium.
 
Kristy Leopold held down the goal for SMSU with five saves in her fourth start of her career.
 
Kylie Redmond led the Mustangs with three shots—two on goal—in the tie.
 
Washburn led the game with 10 shots and five on goal, while the Mustangs tallied six shots and four on goal.
 
SMSU (0-1-1) will head to Sioux Falls on Friday to open Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference play.  Game slated to start at 6 p.m.
