MARSHALL, Minn. – The Southwest Minnesota State University wheelchair basketball team opens the 2016-17 season this Saturday with a pair of games in Omaha, Neb.
SMSU will face the University of Nebraska Omaha for two games starting at 3 p.m.

Derek Klinkner begins his fourth season on the sideline and has 13 players on the 2016-17 roster with six returning letterwinnners. The Mustangs finished 15-18 in 2015-16.
The team features just one seniors—two-time team MVP senior
David Evjen—along with four juniors, three sophomores and five freshmen.
SMSU will play its first home games of the season on Oct. 21-22 with four scheduled games in the PE Gym.
