MARSHALL, Minn. - The second ranked Southwest Minnesota State University women's volleyball team extended its winning streak to 12 straight matches by sweeping Bemidji State at home, 25-18, 25-6, 25-21.
Sarah Parker led the Mustangs with 12 kills and
Taylor Reiss added another 10 as SMSU improved its overall record to 18-3 with a 12-1 record in conference play.
Amber Messner led the team with 8 digs in addition to five service aces while SMSU held Bemidji to just a .195 hitting percentage as a team.
Setter,
Megan Larson, had 37 assists to help a very effective Mustangs' attack. SMSU recorded a season best .439 hitting as a team including a .556 hitting percentage in set two which the Mustangs dominated 25-6.
Bemidji State (7-15, 3-10 NSIC) suffered from nine service errors in the loss and still have not recorded a road win this season.
SMSU will return to action Saturday afternoon as they host Minnesota Crookston at 3 p.m.
