MARSHALL, Minn. – The Southwest Minnesota State University wheelchair basketball team returns to the court this Friday and Saturday with five games in Whitewater, Wis.
SMSU, off to a 2-0 start, will have three games on Friday and a pair of games on Saturday. The Mustangs take on Edinboro University on Friday morning at 10, then will face the University of Missouri at 2 p.m. SMSU closes out play on Friday night versus Wisconsin-Whitewater at 6 p.m.
On Saturday, SMSU opens with the University of Illinois at 9 a.m. before closing the weekend versus Nebraska-Omaha at 1 p.m.
Jesus Villa is the team's leading scorer on the season with 23 points per game, while
Ryan Kile is averaging 16 per game. Villa also leads the team in rebounding with 8.5 per game.
SMSU last played on Oct. 27 in Marshall, sweeping Nebraska-Omaha in a pair of games, 65-52 and 57-47.
