Mustangs wrap up regular season on the road at MSU and CSP

MARSHALL, Minn.- The Southwest Minnesota State University ­women's basketball team (3-21, 3-17 NSIC) concludes its regular season on the road as they take on Minnesota State (15-9, 11-9 NSIC) on Friday night at 6 p.m. SMSU will then play its regular season finale on Saturday at Concordia St. Paul (17-9, 13-7 NSIC) with tipoff scheduled for 4 p.m.
 
            BROADCAST INFO
•This weekend's games will broadcast on 105.1 FM KARL with Anthony Rohlik handling the play-by-play for SMSU basketball

            SERIES HISTORY (Minnesota State)
•Minnesota State leads the all-time series 39-17
•MSU has won 20 consecutive games in the series dating back to the 2005-06 season
•MSU has won 22 of 24 including an 87-70 win  (Full box score on page 19)
•Southwest Minnesota State's last win was a 74-61 win back in the 2004-05 season
•SMSU is 6-22 all-time vs MSU in games played in Mankato

            SERIES HISTORY (Concordia-St. Paul)
•Concordia-St. Paul leads the all-time series 35-16

•Concordia-St. Paul has won 11 straight games going back to the 2011-12 season
•The last win for SMSU was a 60-55 win back in Dec. of 2011

            GAME DAY STORYLINES
•After returning to the starting lineup in seven of the last six games, Caleigh Rodning has led SMSU in scoring and rebounding with 16.0 ppg and 10.8 rpg
•Rodning has now posted six straight double-doubles
•Over the last 10 games, SMSU's average scoring margin has been improved by almost five points per game
•All three wins for SMSU have come on the road this season

Lauren Hedlund is 52 points away entering the weekend from becoming the 19th member of the SMSU women's basketball 1,000 point club
•Hedlund is first all-time in career offensive rebounding with 3.1 offensive rebounds per game and is fourth in single season offensive rebounding average with 3.6 offensive boards per game this season

Tom Webb is in his first season as the head coach with a 3-19 overall record thus far

            ABOUT SOUTHWEST MINNESOTA STATE
•SMSU is 3-21 on the season after dropping its final two home games last weekend
•SMSU held Augustana, the top scoring offense in the NSIC to a .405 field goal percentage and a .325 three point field goal percentage
•The Mustangs are shooting 39 percent as a team on field goal attempts this season
Caleigh Rodning leads the team in scoring (13.6 ppg) and averages 7.4 rebounds per game
