MARSHALL, Minn. – The Southwest Minnesota State wheelchair basketball team closed out the regular season on Saturday splitting a pair of games versus the Minnesota Rolling Timberwolves in the PE Gym
SMSU dropped the first game, 51-35, but rebounded with a 59-55 victory in game two.
In game one, SMSU shot just 23 percent from the field and made just 5 of 11 free throws.
Walter Johnson scored a team-high 16 points with 13 rebounds for the Mustangs.
In game two, the Mustang shot 45 percent from the field as
David Evjen, playing his final home game, poured in 26 points, grabbed 10 rebounds and dished out seven assists.

SMSU finishes the regular season with a 17-9 overall record. The Mustangs now prepare for the NWBT Championships in Whitewater, Wis., on March 9-11.
