Mustangs conclude NSIC play with back-to-back conference duals

MARSHALL, Minn.- Southwest Minnesota State will conclude its 2017-18 dual schedule with back-to-back NSIC duals on Friday and Saturday respectively. SMSU will host its final home dual of the season against Minnesota State on Friday night at 7 p.m., followed by its final dual of the season at MSU Moorhead on Saturday afternoon beginning at 3 p.m.

Last Time Out
- SMSU went 1-1 last weekend, splitting a pair of home NSIC duals against U-Mary and Minot State
- The Mustangs dropped a tough, 20-19 dual on Friday night against U-Mary as the Marauders won by decision in the final weight class of the night to steal the one point victory
- SMSU rebounded from its Friday night loss with a 23-17 win over Minot State on Saturday afternoon
- The Mustangs won three straight bouts at 174, 184 and 197 to clinch the win over the Beavers
- SMSU won five bouts on the afternoon with two pins and one win by tech fall to separate from Minot State
