MARSHALL, Minn. -- The University of Texas-Arlington women's team and the University of Alabama men's team each earned national championships on Saturday at the 2018 National Intercollegiate Wheelchair Basketball Tournament held at the R/A Facility.

A total of nine men's teams and four women's teams competed in Marshall the past three days.

UT-Arlington defeated Alabama, 65-55, in the women's title game with UTA's Rose Hollermann earning MVP honors.

In the men's final, Alabama rallied to earn a 69-65 victory over Wisconsin-Whitewater. Michael Auprince from Alabama was named the men's tournament MVP.
