SMSU falls 2-0 in NSIC battle with Augustana

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – The Southwest Minnesota State University women's soccer team suffered its first conference loss of the season today with a 2-0 setback to Augustana University at Morstad Field.
 
SMSU drops to 1-3 overall, 1-1 NSIC, while Augustana improves to 3-1-1 overall, 2-0 NSIC.  
 
The two teams played to a scoreless first half, but the Vikings were able to break through with a pair of goals in the 80th minute to secure the victory.
 
Jessica Craigmile recorded 15 saves in goal for SMSU, which was out-shot 30-6 in the contest.
 
Abbey Hoisington had three shots on goal for SMSU, while Alli Miskowiec added a pair of shots on goal.
 
Southwest Minnesota State continues NSIC road play on Sunday taking on Wayne State College starting at 1 p.m. in Wayne, Nebraksa.
