MARSHALL, Minn. – Southwest Minnesota State and Minnesota State University Moorhead women's soccer teams met on Sunday afternoon resulting in a 1-0 final in favor of MSU Moorhead at the Schwan Regional Event Center. Despite the Mustangs numerous opportunities at set pieces, they were unable to score in the match.
The Mustangs (2-5, 2-3 NSIC) worked throughout the 90 minutes to create a look off seven corner kicks and six shots, four on goal. MSU Moorhead (2-5, 2-3 NSIC) scored in the 51
st minute by Tomoni Nishihara, her second goal for the season assisted by Carly Jo Gamrath.

Alli Miskowiec led the Mustangs with two shots a piece, each with one on goal. Goalkeeper for the Mustangs,
Jenna Meyer made her season debut with three saves in all 90 minutes played.
Southwest Minnesota State travels to Minnesota Crookston on Friday for a 3 p.m. game and takes on Bemidji State on Sunday at 3 p.m. to conclude the weekend.
