•Saturday's victory over UMary marks the eighth victory for SMSU this season. It's the first time SMSU has earned eight victories in a season since the 2009-10 season.

    SERIES HISTORY VS. WINONA STATE
•SMSU leads the all-time series 44-37 since the first meeting in the 1973-74 season.

•The Mustangs' last winning streak was four games from 2003-2005.

•Junior forward Caleigh Rodning is averaging a team-high 13.7ppg and a team-high 7.4 rpg.
•Sophomore guard Sadie Stelter leads in 3-pointers scored with 28 and leads in assists with 31. Stetler leads 10.2 ppg. 
•Sophomore guard Meleah Reinhart is averaging 11.7 pp and has made 22- 3-pointers.

    SMSU HEAD COACH TOM WEBB
•Tom Webb is in his third season as head coach with a 16-54 record, including 12-44 in NSIC play. 
•SMSU finished 3-24 during his first season in 2016-17, before improving to 5-21 in 2017-18. 
•Webb is 106-176 overall in his 11th season as head coach at the Division II level after compiling a record of 91-123 in nine seasons as head coach at Cameron University (Okla.) 
•Webb recorded his 100th career win against Wisconsin-Parkside (91-83) on Nov. 16, 2018.

    SMSU SETS TEAM-RECORD 19 3-POINTERS 
•In SMSU's victory over William Jewell (Mo.) on Nov. 17,  the Mustangs set a single-game record of 19 3-pointers made and also a school record for most three-point attempts (34) in a game. 
•The previous record was 15 made against Minnesota-Morris on Dec. 19, 2008.
•SMSU made 11 3-pointers in the first half, eight of which came in the second quarter. 
     THREE CONSECUTIVE WINS
•SMSU's three-game winning streak earlier this season was the program's first since the 2011-12 season. 
•SMSU earned its first back-to-back wins since the 2015-16 season after defeating Wisconsin-Parkside and William Jewell (Mo.) at the Ramada Classic on Nov. 16-17.
•SMSU's last four-game winning streak came during the 2009-10 season when the team won six straight.  

    EIGHT SEASON VICTORIES
•Saturday's victory over UMary marked the eighth victory this season for the Mustangs, the first time SMSU earned eight victories since the 2009-10 season. 

    90-POINT GAMES
•The Mustangs scored 90 of more points in three straight victories earlier this season.
•The last time SMSU scored 90 or more points in three consecutive games was in November 2008 with a 111-75 victory over Chadron State (Neb.), 107-45 victory over Mayville State (ND), and a 93-75 victory over Mount Mercy (Iowa).

    SCOUTING WINONA STATE    
•Minot State is 8-8 overall and 6-6 in NSIC play and comes in fifth in the South Division of the NSIC.
•Winona State split last weekend with a victory over Minnesota Crookston and falling to Bemidji State. 
•Senior forward Rachel Novotny averages a team-high 11.1 ppg and leads in rebounding with 7.4 rpg.
•Sophomore guard Allie Pickrain leads in assists with 2.4 apg. 
•Winona State is shooting 40 percent from the field and 29 percent from the 3-point line.
•WSU is recording a plus-4.3 rebounding margin and a plus-2.3 rebounding margin. 
•Head coach, Scott Ballard, is in his 15th season and holds a 257-172 overall record 165-127 record in the Northern Sun. 

    SCOUTING UPPER IOWA    
•UIU is 3-17 overall and 0-12 in the NSIC.
•The Peacocks are in a 13-game losing streak after dropping both games this past weekend against Bemidji State and Crookston. 
•Sophomore guard Natlie Dinius leads the team in scoring with 9.9 ppg.
•Senior forward Haley Martin leads in rebounding with 6.0 rpg. 
•Senior guard Casey Miles and junior guard Marina Peinado tie the team in assists with 2.1 apg. 
•UIU is shooting 36 percent from the field, 29 percent from the 3-point range, 67 percent from the free throw line and is  minus-6.5 in rebound margin. 
•UMary is averaging 54.9 points per game, while opponents are averaging 71.9 points per game.
•Head coach, Kelly Kielsmeier, is in his first season after being named interm head coach on Jan. 6, 2019. Kielsmeier has served as the assistant coach with Wayne State College women's basketball program for 10 years before moving to UIU. 

    RODNING EARNS NSIC WEEKLY AWARD
•Junior forward Caleigh Rodning was named the NSIC South Division Player of the Week on Nov. 19. 
•It's the first time Rodning has received this award and is 
the first Mustang to earn the honor under head coach Tom Webb.  
•In two SMSU victories, Rodning recorded back-to-back double-doubles with 34 points and 16 rebounds against Wisconsin-Parkside, followed by 17 points and 10 rebounds against William Jewell.
•Rodning shot 59 percent from the field (16 of 27), 67 percent from beyond the arc (6 of 9), and went 13-15 from the free throw line throughout the weekend. 

    NCAA STATISTICAL RANKINGS

    RODNING ALL-NSIC IN 2017-18
•Caleigh Rodning was the lone Mustang to earn All-NSIC honors last season as she was named second team. 

    SMSU ALL-TIME IN THE NSIC 
•The 2018-19 campaign marks the 40th season SMSU has competed in the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference. 
•SMSU has an all-time record of 232-376 in conference games and have won four regular season championships (1979-80, 1980-81, 2000-01, 2001-02) and one NSIC Tournament championship (2002).
