MARSHALL, Minn. – Winona State rallied from a third quarter deficit, outscoring Southwest Minnesota State 29-13 in the final quarter, to earn a 79-68 victory in NSIC women's basketball inside the R/A Facility on Saturday night.

WSU, which improves to 14-10 overall, 12-8 NSIC, shot 60 percent in the final quarter with nine field goals and held SMSU to 27 percent shooting in the final 10 minutes.

SMSU drops to 12-13 overall, 9-11 NSIC, in its final home game of the season.

Caleigh Rodning led the Mustangs with 22 points, seven rebounds and four assists.
Sadie Stelter scored 12 points on four 3-pointers, while Erin Baxster (11) and Abuk Ako (10) also reached double figures in scoring.

SMSU held the lead for the first three quarters of the game, but WSU rallied and took its first lead of the game with 8:44 remaining in the fourth quarter and never trailed again.

WSU was led by Emily Kieck's 26 points and seven rebounds.

Southwest Minnesota State closes the regular season next weekend with a pair of road games. SMSU faces Wayne State on Friday, Feb. 22, with tip-off set for 5:30 p.m., before taking on Augustana on Saturday, Feb. 23.
