MARSHALL, Minn. – The Southwest Minnesota State soccer team (2-7-1 overall, 1-6-1 NSIC) suffered a 2-0 shutout at the hands of the Augustana Vikings (6-3-2, 4-1-2) on Sunday afternoon at the Schwan Regional Event Center.
Augustana's Savannah Ellender netted the opener in the 16
th minute, while Carlie Kray captured the final goal in the 48
th minute off a Sylvia Fehr assist to highlight the offense.
SMSU would tally three shots on goal, with
Selena Prolic,
Emily Maciel, and
Abbey Hoisington each putting their lone shot on net. The Mustangs would be out-shot 12-6 by the Vikings, while Augie would put 10 shots on net compared to the SMSU three.

Meghan Harkin made seven saves for the Mustangs, while the SMSU defense would pick up a save off of a corner kick.
SMSU sticks around Marshall, with MSU Moorhead and Northern State traveling in. The Mustangs will face MSUM at 3 p.m. Friday, before hosting Northern State at 1 p.m. on Sunday.
