MANKATO, Minn. – The Southwest Minnesota State soccer team (4-11-1 overall, 3-10-1 NSIC) dropped a 2-0 decision to Minnesota State (14-2-1, 12-1-1) on Sunday afternoon at The Pitch in Mankato, Minn.
Maille Mathis netted a goal in each half to help lift the Mavericks to victory. Her first came in the 31
stminute off a pass from Olivia Thoen, while scoring her second goal off a pass from Molly Mosher.
MSU outshot SMSU 30-5, while recording 13 shots on net to the Mustangs two.
Kirsten Wetterstrom led the way for the Mustangs offensively, recording two shots and putting both on net.

Alex Lotts each recorded a shot for SMSU.
Julianne Arballo collected a career-high ten saves for the Mustangs in net.
SMSU finish the season on the road at the University of Sioux Falls at 5 p.m., on Friday, Nov. 5.
