TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Walter Johnson poured in 42 points on 20 of 26 shooting to pace No. 4 seed Southwest Minnesota State to a 68-26 over No. 5 seed Eastern Washington University in the first round of the National Intercollegiate Wheelchair Basketball Tournament on the campus of the University of Alabama.
SMSU, playing its first game of the season, will now face top-seeded UT-Arlington in the tournament semifinals at 4:45 p.m.
The Mustangs closed the game shooting 63 percent (32 of 52) from the field, while limiting the Eagles to 28 percent shooting.
