MARSHALL, Minn. – The Southwest Minnesota State University wheelchair basketball team returns the court for the first time since November this Friday and Saturday with four games in Columbia, Mo.
SMSU, 3-5 on the season, had five games canceled earlier this month due to COVID protocols in Omaha, Neb.
This Friday, SMSU takes on Auburn University at 5 p.m. and will battle UT Arlington at 7 p.m. On Saturday, the Mustangs will face Missouri at 9 a.m. and then will close the weekend at 11 a.m. with a rematch versus UT-Arlington.
The Mustangs last played on Nov. 19-20 winning one of four games in Whitewater, Wis.
SMSU is led in scoring by
Walter Johnson, who is pouring in 27.3 ppg. The Mustangs are averaging 62 ppg and shooting 54 percent from the field.
