MARSHALL, Minn. – Officials from Southwest Minnesota State University and Minot State University announced on Monday the women's basketball game scheduled between the schools for this Friday in Marshall have been canceled due to COVID-19 protocols.
 
Per Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference guidelines, the game is ruled as a "no contest" and will not be rescheduled.
 
The SMSU women's basketball team (7-5 overall, 4-4 NSIC) is still scheduled to play the University of Mary on Saturday inside the R/A Facility with game time set for 5:30 p.m.
 
The SMSU men's basketball game versus Minot State is still on for Friday night with game time set for 5:30 p.m. inside the R/A Facility.
