For the eighth time in nine matches, the Mustangs struck first, with Emma Dahnert putting a free kick into the box, finding the head of Abbey Hoisington, which got to the foot of Emily Maciel, who bicycled to Alex Lotts, putting SMSU in front in the 11th minute.

CSP's Nikki Anderson took the game into her own hands, scoring in the 33rd minute and 79th minute to lead the Golden Bears to victory.
