MARSHALL, Minn. – The Southwest Minnesota State University wheelchair basketball team is back in action this Friday and Saturday with three games in Champaign, Ill.
SMSU, which lost four games last weekend in Columbia, Mo., is 3-9 on the season.
On Friday, SMSU will face the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater with tip-off slated for 3 p.m., while on Saturday the Mustangs take on City University of New York at 8 a.m., before closing the day facing the University of Illinois at 12 p.m.
SMSU will conclude the regular season with a tournament in Tucson, Ariz., on Feb. 25-26 before competing at the NIWBT Championships on March 17-19.
SMSU is led in scoring by
Walter Johnson, who is pouring in 27.5 ppg. The Mustangs are averaging 60 ppg and shooting 54 percent from the field.
