ARLINGTON, TEXAS -- The No. 5 seed Southwest Minnesota State University wheelchair basketball team went 1-1 on Thursday in the opening day of the National Intercollegiate Wheelchair Basketball Tournament hosted by UT-Arlington.
SMSU opened the day defeating No. 12 seed Edinboro (Pa.), 81-32, before losing in the afternoon to No. 4 seed Wisconsin-Whitewater in the national quarterfinals, 66-50.
SMSU, 12-11 overall, will play at 10 a.m. on Friday versus the University of Missouri. If SMSU wins, they will play for fifth place at 8 p.m. If SMSU loses, they will play for seventh place also at 8 p.m.
