MARSHALL, Minn. -- The Southwest Minnesota State wheelchair basketball team closed the regular season on Saturday with a pair of victories over Nebraska Omaha inside the PE Gym. SMSU won the first game, 83-44, and completed the sweep with a 77-48 victory in game two.
SMSU improves to 11-10 overall and has won eight of its last nine games.
In Saturday's first game,
Emmanuel Fuentes Cervantes made 11 of 15 field goals and was a perfect 5 of 5 from the foul line in leading the Mustangs with 27 points.
Ezekiel Ramudzi was a perfect 8 of 8 shooting and finished with 17 points, while
Walter Johnson finished with 11 points on 5 of 10 shooting.

SMSU finished the first game shooting 67 percent (38 of 57) from the field.
In game two, Johnson was unstoppable pouring in 49 points on 22 of 31 shooting with three 3-pointers. Ramudzi was the only other Mustang to reach double figure scoring with 10 points.
SMSU will now turn its focus to the national tournament which is set for March 17-19 in Arlington, Texas. Tournament seedings and game times will be announced next week.
