MARSHALL, Minn. - The Southwest Minnesota State University women's soccer team (3-8-1, 3-5-1 NSIC) lost to the Concordia-St. Paul Golden Bears (6-5-2, 4-3-2 NSIC) by a score of 2-0.
The Golden Bears got out to a hot start with goals by Katie Anderson in the eighth minute and a goal by Corynn Grabau in the 13th minute to take a 2-0 lead, which they would hold onto until time expired.
CSP outshot SMSU 12-8 and 8-3 in shots on goal.
Sydney Johnson,
Brianna Guerrero and
Trinity Reagan each registered a shot on goal for the Mustangs.
Kenna Conley made six saves in the losing effort for SMSU.
The Mustangs will return to action on Friday when they travel to Duluth to take on the Minnesota Duluth Bulldogs. They will then travel to St. Cloud to take on the St. Cloud State Huskies on Sunday.
