MARSHALL, Minn. – The Southwest Minnesota State University wheelchair basketball returns to the court this Friday and Saturday with four games in Edinboro, Pa.
SMSU, which is 5-1 overall, will play two games on Friday, facing Wisconsin-Whitewater at 1 p.m. and the University of Missouri at 3 p.m.
On Saturday, SMSU will play Edinboro University for a pair of games starting at 9:45 a.m. and 1:15 p.m.
SMSU defeated UWW twice earlier this season in Marshall, winning via forfeit and earning a 70-58 win. SMSU and Missouri split two games last season, with Missouri winning 81-65 in the regular season, before SMSU picked-up a 66-63 victory at the national tournament.
The Mustangs have won seven in a row over Edinboro, including winning three times last season.
Emmanuel Fuentes Cervantes lead SMSU in scoring this season averaging 28 ppg, while shooting 53 percent from the field.
Troy Beckford is scoring 12.8 ppg, while Josh Brown is pouring in 11.8 ppg.
