WAYNE, Neb. - The Southwest Minnesota State University women's soccer (0-4, 0-1 NSIC) team suffered a 1-0 loss to Wayne State College (4-2, 2-0 NSIC) on Sunday afternoon at the WSC Soccer Complex.
The Mustangs had ten shots on the day with three coming from
Audrey Gallagher, and two of hers being on target.
Reese Leighton,
Haley Mason,
Malorie Maderak, and
Brooke Wetterstrom all tallied one shot on target.
Kenna Conley made four saves in the losing effort for the Mustangs, who suffered their first conference loss, and dropped to 0-4 overall.
The Wildcats lone scorer was Leah Bennett, with the goal coming in the opening half. WSC had eleven shots in their effort, with five being on net.

SMSU will return to action on Friday, Sept. 22, in Minot N.D., facing Minot State at 6 p.m.
The Mustangs will then travel to UMary to play the Marauders on Sunday, Sept. 24, at 1 p.m.
