MARSHALL, Minn. - The Southwest Minnesota State University women's soccer team (1-5-1, 1-2-1 NSIC) tied 23rd ranked Bemidji State (5-0-3, 3-0-1 NSIC) Friday night and Saturday morning, resulting in a score of 1-1.
The game began Friday night, and the teams played 48 scoreless minutes before the game was halted due to lightning in the area.
Play resumed on Saturday morning and the Mustangs struck early, scoring in the 50th minute with a goal by
Haley Mason, assisted on by
Malorie Maderak and
Alyson Gallagher.
Rachel Hicks made two saves in net for the Mustangs.
The Mustangs out shot the Beavers 10-9, 5-3 on goal.
