TOPEKA, Kan. - The Southwest Minnesota State University women's soccer team suffered a 4-0 loss to Washburn University on Friday night at Yager Stadium.
 
The Mustangs had four shots on the night with three coming from Alyson Gallagher, including one shot on target. Reese Leighton also took a shot for SMSU.  
 
Rachel Hicks made three saves in the losing effort for the Mustangs, who dropped to 0-3 overall.

The Ichabods (2-1) scored all four goals in the opening half.
 
SMSU will return to action to begin conference play Sept. 17, as they travel to Wayne, Neb., to face the Wayne State Wildcats.
