ST. PAUL, Minn. - The Southwest Minnesota State women's soccer team fell to Concordia-St. Paul 1-0 in Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference action on Friday night.
CSP improves to 7-3-3 overall, including 5-3-1 NSIC, while SMSU drops to 1-10-1 overall, 1-6-1 NSIC.
The Mustangs recorded seven shots with six being on net.
Selena Prolic and
Brooke Wetterstrom led the Mustang offense with two shots on goal.
Haley Mason and
Dare Kroeten both secured one shot on goal.
In the loss,
Rachel Hicks faced 10 shots on goal while recording nine saves in net for the Mustangs.
The Golden Bears posted 19 shots with 10 being on net. Leading the CSP offense was Sophia Haase, who tallied the lone goal of the match while recording three shots on goal. Ashley Bennett, Belle Abruzzo, and Amaya O'Hearn each tallied two shots on goal.
The Golden Bears goalkeeper, Sydney Potter encountered six shots on net, saving all six shots en route to earning her sixth shutout of the season.
The Mustangs continue NSIC action on the road with a matchup against Winona State on Sunday, with kickoff slated for 1 p.m.
