MARSHALL, Minn. - The Southwest Minnesota State University women's and men's cross country squads have their final regular season meet this Saturday competing at the Dordt University Holiday Inn Express Classic in Sioux Center, Iowa.

The women's 6k race is set to begin at 10 a.m. with the men's 8k race closing the morning at 10:45 a.m. with both races at the Dordt University Prairie Course.

Both teams last competed on Sept. 28 at the Wayne State College Classic. In the women's 6k race,
Madison Marco led the Mustangs with a 16th place finish with a time of 25:18.14, just ahead of teammate
Macie Langstraat, who placed 17th at 25:25.22.

In the men's 8k race,
Carter Schwalbe was the Mustangs' highest finisher crossing the line at 28:19.14 to place 15th, while
Seth Torgerson ran 28:31.67 to finish 17th overall.

Following Saturday's meet, SMSU will compete at the NSIC Championships in Minot, N.D., on Oct. 26. Â
