• The Southwest Minnesota State University women's basketball team (14-8, 12-4 NSIC), currently tied for second in the NSIC standings, rematches Minnesota Duluth (14-7, 11-6 NSIC) and Concordia-St. Paul (16-6, 12-5 NSIC) in the first two games of its four-game road stint this weekend.

MINNESOTA DULUTH SERIES HISTORY
• SMSU and UMD will meet for the 81st time with the Bulldogs leading 61-19 in a series that began in 1976-77.
• SMSU defeated UMD earlier this season 86-80, beating the Bulldogs for the first time since Jan. 30, 2016.
• The Mustangs are 6-31 all-time in games played in Duluth and aim to capture their first win there since the 2015-16 season.
• SMSU head coach Tom Webb is 1-7 all-time versus UMD.

CONCORDIA-ST. PAUL SERIES HISTORY
• SMSU and CSP will meet for the 66th time with the Golden Bears leading 45-20 in a series that began in 1974-75.
• SMSU defeated CSP earlier season in Marshall 64-62 and has beat CSP in two of the last three meetings.
• The Mustangs are 9-25 all-time in games played in St. Paul and last suffered a loss to Golden Bears in the Gangelhoff Center on Dec. 17, 2021.
• SMSU head coach Tom Webb is 4-11 all-time versus CSP.

SMSU HEAD COACH TOM WEBB
• Tom Webb is in his eighth season as head coach at SMSU with a 91-110 record, including 69-89 in NSIC play.
• Webb is 182-233 overall in his 16th season as head coach at the Division II level after compiling a record of 91-123 in eight seasons (2008-16) as head coach at Cameron University (Okla.).
• In 2022-23, SMSU advanced to the NSIC semifinals for the fourth time in program history and first time since 2003.
• The team finished with 19 victories a season ago, tying for fifth most in program history, and highest total since 2004-05.
• SMSU also recorded a top three finish in the NSIC South last season, best in the division era, while earning a top four finish in the NSIC regular season standings for the first time since 2004-05.

MUSTANG TIP-OFF TIDBITS
• In conference games only, SMSU leads the NSIC in field-goal pct. (44.9), 3-point field-goal pct. (35.5) and free throw pct. (78.0) and is currently second in scoring offense (75.4) and scoring margin (8.7).
• SMSU fell into turnover trouble in an 87-67 loss to No. 22 Minnesota State in NSIC women's basketball on Friday evening inside the R/A Facility.
•  Bri Stoltzman found her groove posting a game-high 27 points on 10 of 11 shooting while pulling down six rebounds and snatching a steal. Sam Wall chipped in 12 points, and Hannah Parsley scored nine points on 4 of 6 shooting with two rebounds.
• The Mustangs finished the game shooting 51 percent (27 of 53) from the field including 40 percent from deep (8 of 20).
• SMSU tied a season-high 16 3-pointers to push itself past Winona State 78-61 in NSIC women's college basketball inside the R/A Facility on Saturday afternoon.
• Four Mustangs scored double figures with Bri Stoltzman leading the way with 19 points on 5 of 6 shooting, including 100 percent (3 of 3) from deep. Sam Wall tied a season-high six makes from deep, getting her 18 points with three assists. Madison Gehloff and Hannah Parsley combined for 23 points, with Parsley and Gehloff grabbing six rebounds apiece.
• The Mustangs closed the night shooting 49 percent (26 of 53) from the field, including tying a season-high 16 3-pointers. WSU shot 40 percent (23 of 58) with five makes from beyond the arc.
• SMSU has shot 50 percent or higher seven times this season.
• SMSU dished out a season-high 22 assists in victories over Martin Luther and Minot State.
• Sam Wall became the 24th player in team history to reach 1,000 career points on Jan. 12 and ranks second in team history with 220 3-pointers.
• Stoltzman ranks third in team history in field goal pct. (51.5, 328 of 637).
• In NSIC games only, Stoltzman ranks fourth in the league in scoring (17.6), fourth in field goal pct. (47.6), 11th in free throw pct. (74.7), 13th in rebounding (6.3), and fourth in assists (3.3).
•  Wall leads the NSIC in 3-point field goals per game (2.7) and 3-point field goal pct. (38.1), and is 13th amongst active players across Division II in career 3-pointers made.
 
MUSTANGS BY THE NUMBERS
• For the season, SMSU has three players averaging double figures in scoring, and five averaging over nine points per game. Junior Bri Stoltzman leads the way at 18.0 ppg while leading the team in both rebounding at 6.5 per game and assists with 74.
• Senior Sam Wall is averaging 13.0 ppg and shooting 84 percent from the foul line. She leads the team with 57 3-pointers.
• Senior Madison Gehloff is scoring 10.2 ppg and is second on the team with 42 free throws made.
• Junior Peyton Blandin ranks second on the team with 42 3-pointers and is averaging 9.0 ppg with senior Hannah Parsley averaging 9.7 ppg, while snatching a team-second 37 steals.
• SMSU is shooting 44 percent from the field, 36 percent from 3-point range, 76 percent from the free throw line and is plus-2.2 in rebound margin. The Mustangs are averaging 76 points per game, while opponents are averaging 67 ppg.
 
SMSU IN THE NCAA STATS  
• In the latest Division II national statistics (Feb. 5), SMSU ranks fourth in 3-pointers per game (9.5), eighth in 3-point field goal attempts (26.5), 18th in scoring offense (75.8), 37th in free throw pct. (76.0) and 27th in turnovers per game (13.7).
• Bri Stoltzman ranks 18th in field goals made (142), 31st in scoring (18.0) and 64th in free throws made (82).
• Sam Wall ranks 19th in 3-point field goals made (57) and 26th in 3-point field goal attempts (152).

STONE COLD STOLTZMAN
• Bri Stoltzman recorded a career-high 36 points on 13 of 23 shooting in a loss to Northwest Missouri State on Nov. 10. She recorded her second 30-point game of her career with 31 points on 9 of 18 shooting in the win over No. 19 Minnesota Duluth on Dec. 9.
• Stoltzman is leading the team in scoring, rebounding, assists, steals and free throws made.
 
KEEP THE WALL ROLLING
• Sam Wall set the program record for 3-pointers made in a single-season last season with 77.
• Wall ranks second all-time in 3-pointers made in program history with 220 in 120 games. She is 31 away from moving into first all-time and passing Jenna Borchers (2018-23).
• She also ranks sixth in free throw percentage at .818 (148 of 181) and is sixth in 3-point field goal percentage at .384 (220 of 573).
 
PEYTON BLANDIN NOTES
• Has started every game and is averaging 9.0 ppg, 3.4 rpg, and is second on the team in 3-pointers with 42.
• Scored a career-high 17 points vs. Northwest Missouri State (11/10/23).
 
KENNADI BUCHHOLZ NOTES
