MARSHALL, Minn. – The Southwest Minnesota State women's soccer team earned its first point in Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference play on Friday afternoon earning a 0-0 tie with UMary at The Schwan Regional Event Center.

Rachel Hicks was outstanding in earning her fifth career shutout making 10 saves to help the Mustangs improve to 0-5-1 overall, 0-1-1 NSIC.
UMary moves its record to 4-1-1 overall, 2-0-1 NSIC.
The Marauders collected 18 shots overall in the contest, while the Mustangs recorded three shots with two on goal.

Dare Kroeten had each of SMSU's shots on goal.
SMSU concludes the weekend homestand on Sunday facing Minot State with game time slated for 1 p.m.
